Ah, ein bipolarer Biber? Eine entfremdete Ente, vielleicht? Oder doch eher ein Otter auf Abwegen? Nein, dieses lebende Fossil ist von allem etwas und daher g\u00e4nzlich einzigartig: ein Schnabeltier (engl. platypus)! Die Verk\u00f6rperung eines biologischen Kuriosums geh\u00f6rt zur Klasse der S\u00e4ugetiere, legt aber trotzdem Eier. Okay \u2026 Dieser eigensinnigen Praxis folgt das Tierchen mit Paddelf\u00fc\u00dfen, Pelz und Schnabel ausschlie\u00dflich im Osten und S\u00fcdosten Australiens.<\/p>\n

Spannend, rar, komplex und unvergesslich \u2013 das sind Eigenschaften, mit denen sich auch der unabh\u00e4ngige Abf\u00fcller FRC bestens auskennt. Nach der Quokka Edition, einer fl\u00fcssigen Hommage an das beschwingte Beuteltier, widmet FRC nun mit dem Schnabeltier der n\u00e4chsten australischen Tierart einen eigenen Rum.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die Platypus Edition 7 y.o. arbeiteten die Norddeutschen erneut mit Australiens \u00e4ltester registrierter Brennerei zusammen. Die Beenleigh Artisan Distillers brannten den Small-Batch-Rum aus Melasse in Column wie auch Pot Still und lagerten ihn f\u00fcnf Jahre unter der australischen Sonne in Bourbon Casks.
